Tennessee......

......is the free-est (not sure how to spell that!) state I've ever lived in! A lot less taxes: no state income tax, and even tho they tax everything all across the board, including food & clothing, it's still a whole lot less tax over all. Getting your drivers license cost about the same, however....to actually drive your car in TN is cheap! We paid $62 per year to for plates per car in TN. NC charges a dollar amount per the value of your vehicle per year....so we paid $160 and $218 for our two vehicles here in NC.....AND! On top of that.....you have to have your vehicle inspected every year! Good Ol' Rocky Top....... Rocky Top, TN......we miss you!

Oh yes, with my job I am constantly explaining the LOW cost of living of TN but I don't think anyone actually understands how the "little things" really add up! I hope you are loving your new house. Hugs and Kisses from Middle TN!!! Erin

FELGER!!! This is Heidi Rebischke (BHS Class of '96!). I got your blog info from Lindsay Thompson...I think you know her and Ryan from your days in MI. My husband and I went to Luther with them. What a small world! Please update me on your kids names/ages--I know Oscar and Olivia are the oldest but lost touch with you after that. We had our first on Aug 30 this year (so he'll be 5 months already this Friday!)--Hayden Albert. Being a mom is absolutely the best job I've ever had in this world.
