What a special year.... on April 15th I turned the same age as Christ crucified. I have never in my life felt closer to Him than I have in the couple weeks leading up to my birthday. "My spirit rejoices in God my Savior."

Thank you to everyone who called or emailed or texted to wish me a Happy Birthday! It meant a lot to me, and is the best gift you could give me. My birthday was celebrated at Grandma & Grandpa Shingledecker's home in Greensboro. I am pictured with my 6 beautiful children & their Great Grandma Joy. The festive decorations were compliments of Olivia! John was in Barcelona, Spain & missed out.....he returns home today after being absent for 12 days. Whew!
