Since my last post.......

well.....not the last post, but the post before that....I've been out of the country & back. Three weeks ago my Abuela (Grandmother (my mom's mom)) in Puerto Rico was brought to the Dr. because one of her legs went numb & she was dragging it behind her as she was using her walker. My mom had planned a trip to go see her this month so she was already down there when this happened & went with her sister & mom to the Dr.....after a bunch of tests were performed on her, an MRI of her brain showed 3 growths in her brain.....which most likely caused the numbess in her leg. My Abuela is 80 years old & 3 Christmases ago when we visited her she, at 77 years, was jumping up and down, excited to see us, as we pulled up to her home in our rental car. This comes as a big shock. It particularly comes as a big shock because last August my Abuela took a fall in the middle of the night while going to the bathroom and has never been the same since, however, she apparently had tests done back then & nothing showed.....which makes things seem really bad if these 3 growths have grown that fast in 5 months....my heart & soul sink to my feet.

Levin & I flew down last Wednesday and returned Saturday night. It was wonderful to see her, but SO. HARD. to say goodbye....and so I couldn't.....I just told her that I'd see her next time. I can't go into detail right now about my Abuela as it's just too hard for me to do that right now.....I'm so so sad. But I'm so very thankful to that she got to meet Levin, and hold him, and kiss him, and give him her blessing. My Abuela loves babies.

My mother was scheduled to return to the states that same Saturday, but she is staying. She's doing the right thing. My mother is amazing......she gets it from her mom.

Here are some pics of our trip to La Isla Del Encanto:
